About Me
Hi, I’m Michelle, and I believe every child deserves to feel capable, understood, and supported in a way that honors who they are and how they learn.
With more than 20 years of experience in education, I have dedicated my career to helping students build confidence, overcome challenges, and reach meaningful success both academically and personally. My background spans kindergarten through high school, with extensive experience in middle school and high school special education, intervention, and academic support. I also served as a Special Education Department Lead and Program Specialist, supporting teachers, families, and school teams in developing effective systems and individualized student supports.
I hold a Master’s Degree in Special Education and have specialized training in reading intervention, executive functioning, learning differences, and supporting diverse learners, including students with disabilities and second language learners. I have also taught college-level courses and worked extensively with students navigating academic gaps, learning challenges, anxiety, motivation, and school-related stress.
At Rooted Education Services, I believe growth happens when students feel safe, connected, and understood. There is no one-size-fits-all approach to learning. Every child has unique strengths, challenges, and ways of processing the world. My goal is to meet students where they are, build confidence, strengthen foundational skills, and create individualized support that helps them thrive both in school and beyond.
In addition to tutoring and academic intervention, I support families in navigating educational systems, understanding school supports, and advocating for their child’s needs with confidence and clarity.
Whether your child needs academic support, executive functioning help, confidence-building, or guidance navigating learning challenges, I am passionate about helping students and families feel empowered and successful.
